Events

Every week Kėdainiai Regional Museum and its branches organize concerts, openings of exhibitions, commemorations of historical events, meetings with artists, authors and educational events. Almost all exhibitions, concerts and other cultural events are held in the Multicultural Centre characterized by its flawless acoustics. This concert hall is come to like and often used by executants of the ancient, classical and jazz music from Lithuania and abroad. Besides, every year the Museum organizes public events for the town’s community and guests in various public spaces of Kėdainiai town: events of the ‘European Night of Museum’, takes part in all celebrations of Kėdainiai, commemorated important historical events. Every year the Museum in its branches and public spaces organizes more than 100 events, that are visited by more than 10 000 visitors.

Kėdainiai Regional Museum constantly implements various projects or participates in them as a partner. At the present time, as a partner we take part in these projects: ‘Museum – School – Pupil’. The national partnership network of museums and secondary schools implementing a cycle of educational programmes by Kėdainiai Regional Museum ‘Let’s know the history of the region’ (sponsor – The European Social Foundation), ‘Virtual past is the keystone for the future museums’ (together with Rezekne Higher Education Institution, Latgale Culture and History Museum (Latvia), Maxim Bahdanovich Hrodna Museum (Grodno, Byelorussia), (sponsor – ENPI, Latvia, Lithuania and Byelorussia Cross Border Cooperation Programme).

‘Atlantis of the Borderland – the cultural road of the border’ (together with ‘Borderland’ foundation (Poland) and Association of Writers of the Kaliningrad region (Russia), (sponsor – ENPI 2007–2013, Lithuania, Poland and Russia Cross Border Cooperation Programme).

We also continue implementation of the international project ‘The International Road of the Dukes Radziwills’, (sponsor – Ministry of Culture of Republic of Lithuania).
